This book shows how systematic strategic planning (SSP) can be used on real-world projects for professionals at any skill level. It illustrates how this systematic methodology and its analysis tools -- using workshop and brainstorming approaches -- can be easily understood and universally applied to any type of business. Rather than explaining the methodology and its tools, the author succinctly shows how to use the simplified version of his methodology for developing strategic plans. But, perhaps more importantly, the reader is shown how to identify which circumstances require the use of particular tools and also how to target them directly to achieve effective results. The SSP methodology and the use of a workshop approach, real-world strategic planning projects, and working forms presented to guide the reader through preparing the strategic plan for existing or future business.
• The first part of the book provides an overall framework and briefly describes some of the sections of the systematic pattern of strategic planning. In addition, it explains the use of a workshop approach for strategic planning based on SSP principles.
• The second part details case studies of strategic planning projects from real-world organizations across a variety of industries. Most of the organizations used both the simplified version of the SSP methodology and the techniques, while others benefited strictly from customizing the SSP methodology.

This book introduces Systematic Improvement Planning (SIP), a structured approach to improvement. It draws upon proven industrial engineering and quality improvement tools, along with some of its own, and enables people to make positive changes. SIP is designed to help meet goals, solve problems, and implement ideas. The book provides a comprehensive and detailed framework for operational improvement at all levels of an enterprise.
* In Part I, the systematic pattern and characteristics of results based improvement planning are over-viewed.
* Part II describes the steps of systematic improvement planning in detail.
This book is written mainly for three groups: One is the individual who desires to achieve improvement. He or she is skilled in devising improvement plans but may not fully recognize that improvement planning of any business calls for a different procedure. The second group is the improvement project team. The third group includes small business owners.

The book shows how to use Planning by Design (PxD) for developing working models to any type of subject area. Section 1 describes the nature of planning in general, the formula of planning, the features that make it systematic, the essence of PxD, and developing and using the working model. Section 2 demonstrates personal application of creative planning to real life cases and practical working models on different subject areas. The book provides a general planning "master guide" that shows how to develop a working model of any definable subject matter. This objective will be accomplished by introducing the concepts, the process, and the methodology of PxD.

Case Studies in Strategic Planning shows you how to do systematic strategic planning in real-life cases, regardless of your level of expertise. The simplified version of this methodology and its analysis tools, based on fundamentals, are easily understood and universally applied to any type of business for developing strategic plans. More importantly, this methodology guides you in identifying the circumstances in which you might use particular tools, use them effectively, and target them directly at achieving effective results.
The book is organized into two parts: Part I provides the overall framework and describes the systematic pattern of strategic planning. Part II demonstrates case studies, most of which are entrepreneurial and related to new businesses.
The book is written for two groups: The first group includes professional strategic planners and students who are interested in strategic planning. This group may be skilled at making strategic plans but do not fully understand that a strategic plan for any business involves variables specific to a particular business process. Their conventional approaches must be replaced by broader analyses and individual and factual analyses of specifics by group opinions and evaluation of convenience or preference.
The second group is made up of professionals unskilled in the techniques of strategic planning. This group might include owner/managers of small businesses, managers who are generally familiar with strategic planning, and department heads who do their own planning. Regardless of which group you fit into, or your level of expertise, you will find this book to be specific, simple to understand, and easy to use.

I wanted to write this book in order to assemble the disconnected and disorderly ideas, processes, methods and techniques (written on strategy and business development) under the same roof. Moreover, my intention is established on presenting the readers an orderly reference source, as it could be a fond phrase to say that there is an exact approach or systematic thinking on this issue. In addition, by careful evaluation of the manner of bringing forward the issues such as strategic approach, systematics, processes, scope and modeling of strategy development, it is intended to bring in a new perspective to the reader and more significantly to provide a different benefit by the application of these issues. As the final objective, I wanted to reach everyone who wants to create a more positive difference for the benefit of business life and humanity through this and similar references.
